Cookies and browser storage used by the ThumbTranslator pre-launch website

About Cookies and Browser Storage

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by a website in your browser. Websites can also use local storage and session storage for similar purposes. This policy describes the storage currently used by the ThumbTranslator pre-launch website.

The current website does not use cookies to operate thumbnail upload, translation, credit, or payment features because those features are not yet available.

Storage We Use

Session and Security

Session or security cookies may be set when you use a sign-in or another interactive form. They help maintain a session, prevent abuse, and protect requests. Their duration depends on the session or security feature being used.

First-Party Site Measurement

The website uses first-party identifiers and browser storage to understand visits and diagnose problems. These may include:

  • an anonymous visitor identifier stored for up to one year;
  • a session identifier that normally lasts for the browser session; and
  • campaign or referral parameters stored for up to 30 days.

These identifiers may be associated with pages viewed, referring pages, approximate request location derived from network information, browser information, and event times. They are used for site operation and aggregate measurement rather than to provide the planned translation feature.

Referral Attribution

If you arrive through a link containing a valid referral code, a first-party referral cookie may be stored for up to 30 days so the visit can be attributed to that referral. The cookie is not set for ordinary visits without a referral code.

Preferences

The website may store a language preference in a cookie and a theme preference in local storage. These help preserve choices between page visits.

Configured Third-Party Tools

Third-party measurement or security code loads only when the corresponding tool has been configured for the deployed website. When active, a provider may set or read its own cookies or browser storage under its own policy. We do not currently use the pre-launch website to deliver behaviourally targeted advertising.

Managing Storage

You can delete or block cookies and site data through your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may affect sign-in, language preferences, referral attribution, security checks, or the accuracy of site measurement.

Where applicable law requires an additional cookie choice, the controls presented on the website take precedence for that visit.

Future Product Changes

Before launching thumbnail upload, translation, credits, or payments, we expect to update this policy if those features require additional cookies or browser storage.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our website practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
