Cookies are small pieces of data stored in your browser. Websites can also use local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB. This policy explains how ThumbTranslator uses these technologies.

Storage We Use

Authentication, Session, and Security

ThumbTranslator uses cookies needed to sign you in, maintain your account session, protect requests, and help prevent fraud or abuse. Blocking this storage may prevent account features from working.

First-Party Analytics

We use first-party identifiers to understand visits, connect events within a session, measure referral and campaign performance, and diagnose problems. These may include a persistent anonymous visitor identifier, a browser-session identifier, and campaign attribution stored in cookies or browser storage. Analytics records can include pages viewed, referring pages, browser information, approximate location derived from network information, and event times.

Referral Attribution

When the referral program is enabled and you arrive through a link with a valid referral code, ThumbTranslator may store a first-party referral cookie. It helps attribute the visit or a qualifying purchase to the referring partner. It is not set for ordinary visits without a valid referral code.

Language and Theme Preferences

ThumbTranslator may store your language choice in a cookie. Your light, dark, or system theme choice is stored in local storage so the website can preserve the preference between visits.

Recently Used Editor Fonts

The editable thumbnail editor stores up to five recently selected font-family names in local storage. This preference keeps frequently used fonts near the top of the font picker. It contains no thumbnail or translation text, is not synchronized between devices, and can be removed by clearing this site's browser data.

Thumbnail Translation Drafts and Language Preferences

If you choose a thumbnail and target languages before signing in, then continue to authentication, ThumbTranslator stores that source file, the selected languages, a draft request identifier, and the save time in your browser's IndexedDB. This lets the translator restore the draft after authentication. The draft stays on your device and is not sent to our servers until you start the translation. It is eligible for restoration for 24 hours. After that, the translator attempts to delete it the next time it checks for a resumable draft; until that check occurs, the draft may remain in IndexedDB. The translator also attempts to delete it after the translation batch is created or when you reset the translator. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's browser data.

ThumbTranslator separately stores the target-language codes you selected and the save time in IndexedDB. Guest and signed-in preferences use different records, and signed-in preferences are separated by account identifier. The preference contains no image, stays in that browser until it is changed or the site's browser data is cleared, and is not synchronized between devices.

Configured Third-Party Tools

Third-party tools load only when they are configured for the deployed website. These may include Google Analytics, Umami, Plausible, Microsoft Clarity, Cloudflare Turnstile, Crisp, or an affiliate provider such as Affonso. An active provider may set or read cookies or browser storage under its own policy. Some tools are used only on relevant pages, such as a security check or support chat.

What Is Not a Cookie

Uploaded source images and translated results stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage are server-side data, not cookies. Account, translation job, file, and credit records stored in Cloudflare D1 are also server-side data. A pre-authentication draft and saved target-language preference stored locally in IndexedDB, and the recently used font list stored in local storage, remain browser data. Our Privacy Policy explains how this information is handled.

Managing Browser Storage

You can delete or block cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so may affect sign-in, draft restoration, security checks, language, theme and font preferences, referral attribution, support tools, or analytics accuracy.

Where applicable law requires an additional cookie choice, the controls shown on the website apply to that visit.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our browser storage or provider configuration changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
